How do i make my clamp tighter? I tighten like as most as it will go. Almost popping a nut tightening it. But my egg is still loose even though i havent sanded it. It works fine in my friends Dragon. Is it just a bad clamp or what?

the yellow wire connected from the board to the lcd screen was clamped down, then i broke, this is causing problems because something is wrong with my gun ( it is shooting as if the eye was turned off, and i keep choping balls ) and i have no way to see if its turned off (and if it is i cant turn it off)
is there some place in the san jose area that can reattach this wire, or get a new set of wires?
to fix this, i had to buy a new 12 pt lcd/eye harness
thought i would let you guys know if you have this problem

Blast/Delta do not have a direct site. テつ*You can call the store direct or go to www.boblong.com and there they have a phone number to the BLAST factory in Oakley.

OK, now I have a problem that isn't covered in the tech manual........my bolt will chop a ball and then becomes stuck in the forward position, releasing air from the marker. This is not an eye problem, the eyes on my GZ are clean and are functioning properly when this happens. (there is no "delay" when firing like there is when the eyes don't work). I've had my GZ for over a year now, and this just started happening the last 2-3 time I've played. Anyone have any clues? Thanks! ;)

check to make sure you don't have any wear around the face edges of your bolt. If you have any kind of space between the bolt and breach then when you chop a ball the shell can lodge between the bolt and breach and hold the bolt and valve open.

Thanks Ironpanther, I can always count on you for sound advice. My bolt is a little worn on the top edge, has scratches where the feed tube drops down. There is a small burr inside i guess. I was going to have my body rehoned but I need to completely disassemble it first. Good thing I have a few extra bolts! Thanks!

ok first question...what does forced, simulate, and delayed eye settings do?? and i should run it on forced right?? and second part...with my eyes on forced, every 3/4 times i turn it on...the led says that theres a eye error, is this because theres no paint or what??
kingkeith247
12-23-2003, 04:10 PM
another question...does it matter what side the eyes go on?? and if so which sides are they
ironpanther
12-26-2003, 09:48 AM
forced is a setting where if the eye doesn't see paint it won't shoot period. Delay pauses the firing sequence for a certain amount of time each shot if the eye doesn't see paint and then shoots no matter what the eye sees. Bypass just ignors the eye completely and runs the firing sequence off of the set timing for however fast you want your gun to max out at rat of fire wise. I don't know about the eye fault but it shoudn't matter what side of the body the eyes are mounted on as long as the transmitter and reciever are plugged into the proper plugs. Transmitter is clear and the reciever is black.

today was a horrible day. I kept chopping everything i shot from my timmy until after cleaning it 3 times it stopped shooting all together. The switch activates and it gasses up fione but it wont shoot i can push the bolt for and it makes a popping noise. I cleaned it out completely and dissasembeled it accordong to the manual and re-assembled it the same way. but it still has problems can anyone help?
http://www.sacpaintball.com/albums/album03/Picture_315.sized.jpg when i took that hose off while my gun was gassed nothign happened even when i pulled the trigger
slugpaint

Do you have any pressure when pushing the bolt forward? テつ*IF you do try to push the little orange button on the back of the solenoid. テつ*That resets things occasionally. テつ*Try that and then air it up and pull the trigger. テつ*Also is the solenoid clicking when you try to fire it? テつ*Make sure that when you are testing it at home that you did set the eyes on bypass so that it will fire everytime you pull the trigger. テつ*Sometiems I have people that set it on forced then wonder why it won't fire with no paint.
Another thing you should check is your ram bumper.(Yes I see the shocktech ram cap, which might mean you ahve the ram, but some people I know don't use the ram, they only use the cap. Also the loctite that is suppose to go in those might have not been applied corretly, and the adjuster is just backing itself out.) テつ*I'm not sure if you used forced eye mode, but if you do a dead ram bumper will let the bolt go too far back and therefore not tripping the eyes. テつ*Which in turn will not allow you to shoot in forced mode. テつ*Check your ramp bumper, that might be it. テつ*Because chopping paint is sometimes the symptom of a dieing ram bumper. テつ*
Also if you rear hose is off the hose barb, nothing will happen. テつ*Air won't leak when the gun is at rest because there is no air going to that hose. テつ*And when you pull the trigger only a little puff of air will come out of the rear hose

Hey guys I got a timmy with a was 2.7 board. Some how I put it into Competition mode by accident and now I can't adjust the dwell or debounce. I downloaded and read the instructions from the was website but I think they are kinda old. The instructions say that you have to ground the pins on the equalink reciever plug to switch to Competition mode but I haven't touched it. The last thing I did was install the LED but that works with no problems and I don't see how this could cause this problem. I tried disconnecting the LED just to be sure but nothing. I'm at a loss now, any help you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated. :'(

try shorting the two pins again to take it out of tourny mode. otherwise you can adjust that stuff through the equalinnk if you have one. lastly if you just can't get it out of tourney mode then you need to contact jim drew through the wicked air sportz board on their site.

Got another problem. My gun was leaking out of the the space where you can see the ram when you take the bolt out. Also when I fired my gun it would start burping every couple of shots and the fps was really inconsistant. I figured my cup seal was leaking so I took my timmy apart and sure enough my cup seal had a small scratch on one side. I fliped it around and the other side was good so I put it in that way and my gun stopped leaking. However, my gun is still burping every couple of shots especially when I start walking the trigger. I can't figure out what is wrong. The pressure on all of my gauges seem normal, 275psi inline gen-x2 and 75psi lpr on dualies. I have my dwell at 8 and my debounce at 2. I have also lubed all of my regs and the rest of my gun. I'm out of ideas. Any suggestions?

turn your lpr up a bit and check the front and rear orings on your ram. If that doesn't do it then lube you lpr.

hey i have a 2k2 timmy and the other day i was dry firing it and noticed that the ram sleeve was pushing out of the back of the gun about half of a centimeter. at first the ram cap was unscrewed a lil bit from the gun shaking while dry firing it so i screwed it in after de-airing it and then i noticed the ram sleeve was pushing out so i pushed it in and aired it up again and it popped out again the same distance. a couple people at the field i was playing at sed it was a factory problem but i dont kno. if you have ever seen this problem before or kno someone hoo has please reply to htis post with anykind of help cuz i got a tourney in 2 weeks and i have practice at scp for the tourney in like 6 days so i really need to get my gun fixed but i dont want to drive hella far down to delta so if you kno if this is something that my local kapp tech can fix without ripping me off or if this is a big problem that i would need to take down to delta please tell me. thanks.

the only two lubes you use on a timmy are dow 55 for the ram, and reg pistons, and triflow for the bolt Orings. If you can't get ahold of dow 55 you can use dow 33 but it won't last as long because it is of a lower viscosity.

Micro switch problem!!
K I was messing with my gun trying to get it faster. durring this i messed up the conncection between the micro switch and the wires running back to the board.
Its under that little rubber connector...i can push them together and it works. my problem is: how do i get it to stick and stay connected under the rubber connector ??
any help would be great right about ....now thanks- ryan
ironpanther
10-13-2004, 12:28 AM
the rubber "connector" is not a connector but a little piece of heat shrink tubing. If you take the tubing off, cut a new length of tubeing that you slide down the wire a little ways then resolder the wire connection you can slide the tubing back over the solder point and shrink it down using the soldering iron or a heat gun and you will be back in business.

FYI. Bob Long suggest that you run your eyes on Delay. I would suggest that also. Running them on forced kind of defeats the purpose of the eye.
ironpanther
10-25-2004, 12:48 PM
aaron I don't know where you got that from but running your eyes on forced employs the full use of the eyes as the antichop mechanism that they are. Yess I agree delay is good most the time but if you shoot anything but a halo then forced is much better.
FatalIgnorance
10-25-2004, 05:55 PM
i would like to hear how u justify that panther? putting the eyes on delay IS better because it makes it 10x easier to solve an eye/hopper problem. if the gun shoots however much time after u pull the trigger, then u know ur eyes are working and the hopper is not. if it shoots paint but not right when you pull the trigger, it is an eye problem. what do you do in forced mode if the gun doesnt shoot, is it an eye problem, or is it a hopper problem? also bob long did say delayed is better during the timmy tech class.

Ironpanther: At the Huntington Beach NPPL Super 7 there was an Intimidator Tech class where Terry Fong, Little John, Bob Long, and one other tech spoke about the way the intmidator functions and the best way to troubleshoot them. That's where I was told by Bob Long that he suggests to run his guns on delay rather than forced... He also said a lot of people assume that forced is a better way to go then delay, but delay gives you the advantage on the field to see if you're having a hopper problem or if your eyes are working properly.

ironpanther
10-26-2004, 06:20 PM
aaron and rob I will say this in favor of your arguments. delay mode is a prefferable mode for diagnosing problems that may arise do to faults with the eyes. I still stand behind my original statement in that the better mode to operate the gun normally is forced because, and here is the caviat, as long as the gun is properly teched in the first place, there should be no eye problems from the time you check that your gun is operating properly before you walk onto the field to the time you walk off the field. This is why in xball players have more then one setup that they are used to using and also why teams practice and pro teams have techs. so that the player does not have to use a mode that risks a chop on field when it counts the most. I have teched and played with enough timmies to know the benefit of delay mode when working on them but I will not personally, nor allow a team mate to, walk onto a field for a tourney using anything but forced on their guns.
FatalIgnorance
10-26-2004, 06:45 PM
so ur going with the idea that ur gonna chop if you have it on delay because a ball will only be half fed. too bad the chances of that happening arent very likely. and of course pro teams have their own techs etc. etc. but i think ill take bob longs word over yours.
ironpanther
10-28-2004, 01:47 PM
hey when it counts why risk it. I have seen things happen on a paintball field more than once that the odds are near impossible of it even happening in the first place. All I am saying is the better prepared you are(porperly teched guns) the less you have to risk. If you aren't picky enough to eliminate some simple risk like a ball being half loaded when the delay time runs out then you obviously don't have enough of a desire to win. Only by eliminating or reducing to the bare minimum every risk you can will you be able to play your best. but feel free to take bob's word he invented the gun. I will never have that credential no matter how many I use and tech.

how do u change the battery
ironpanther
11-22-2004, 10:55 AM
if the light is flashing yellow after you have turned it on and haven't pulled the trigger yet you need to change the battery. You chaneg the battery by taking the grips off and then unscrewing the screws that hold the side panel of the clamshell and taking the panel off. at that point you will be able to remove the battery and swap it for a new one then put everything back together.

hey what is debounce one actually doing because my friend tells me it firing twice everytime i pull the trigger but im pretty sure hes wrong.
lmk
ironpanther
12-02-2004, 11:29 AM
ok here is the technical explanation. debounce is an electronic digital filter that decides what is and is not a trigger pull. this is accomplished by saying ok on debounce three the switch has to register one and a half milliseconds of a closed switch or three or what ever the timing is. The lower the debounce the less time the board requires the switch to be closed before it registers it as a trigger pull. But in the switches of today they are not just on and off. as the trigger comes closer to being closed small amounts of charge bridge the air gap and look like trigger event. IF the debounce is set to one the sensitivity to those events is though the roof so many times when a switch is being depressed it will register those first little charges as a separate event and thus trigger pull. This makes it so the board can register mutiple trigger events per physical pull and result in electronic bounce. Debounce as stated above filters out these false trigger pulls by requiring a certain amount of sustained events(closed circuit in the switch) before it recognizes it as a pull.

you have a leaking reg seat in your LPR. If you have a seals kit find the tiny plastic ring that is square on all sides and semi clear. Its a little bit smaller than a quarter inch in diameter. Take your LPR off your gun when the gun does not have air. If you have the 2k2 or dual style lpr then unscrew the cap off the lpr. If you have the lasoya, ironmen, or dragon style unscrew the LPR housing from the part that screws into the front block. This can be done with a strap wrench and a crescent wrench if the housing is screwed on tight. This last step does not require taking out the adjuster screw so in the whole project no allen wrenches are required. Now you should be able to remove the spacer, spring, and piston and see the reg valve pin. Now you need a deep socket wrench or driver(I believe the size will be 3/8ths to remove the valve assembly. I emphasize deep because if you bend the reg pin(which is very easy to do) it is hard to get it straightened out and then you will have to buy a new one. Carefully unscrew the valve assembly and remove. You should see a spring, stem, seat, oring, and threaded piece that all come out nicely. Now replace the seat(the part around the stem that seals with the threaded piece). Be very carefull when screwing the valve assembly back into the gun to only tighten it to finger tight. The threads are very easy to strip and the seal is made with that little black oring you saw so it doesn't have to be super tight. After thats in clean and regrease your piston Oring and insert back in. Reinsert the large spring, place the spacer on the spring and screw on the LPR housing or cap.
If you did all this correctly and didn't touch the adjuster screw on the lpr you should find that the creep in the reg is fixed and the pressure setting of the lpr is the same or very near the same.
IF you don't trust yourself to do all this find a local timmy tech and tell him you have a bad reg seat in your LPR thats causing it to creep and you need a new one installed.
ironpanther
12-14-2004, 10:27 PM
that may have been the case. one thing you can do to regularly make sure the reg seats are ok both in the LPR and the torpedo is this.
LPR
Make sure you don't take your LPR off your gun for this.
Take the cap off as described above and remove the spacer, spring, and piston.
air up the gun.
If you notice a tiny hissing noise then the reg seat should be changed. You can tap the valve pin a few times with the handle of a slim screw driver to see if that doesn't seal it but if the leak persists see above for changing.
Torpedo
Same deal. Leave it on the gun, take the lower half off and remove the spring, spacer, and piston. air it up. if it hisses then the seat is bad and replacement is exactly the same as the LPR.

Last night I took apart my 2k3 lasoya and was messing with my trigger settings. I was using a small allen wrench to lightly press on the trigger switch to test how short I could make my trigger pull. Unfortunately now my trigger switch doesn't seem to be working. My solenoid isn't making the clicking sound and my shot counter is not advancing at all. I air'd up the gun and put it all back together and still not firing. Do I need a new switch? It worked fine untill i touched it. Can you short it out?
My alias had a similar problem where it wouldn't fire every trigger pull so I took apart my working gun to check out what a working one is like and now both are screwed up. I see that I can buy a WAS Switch for $10 for the lasoya but what about my 2k4 alias? Is that something that I would need to call delta/blast about?
ironpanther
02-09-2005, 02:12 PM
first off simply check to make sure your not in like forced or delayed because that could be that smack your forehead feel like an idiot problem right there. Next if that doesn't work is make sure the switch still clicks. if the swtich clicks back and forth then it is still good and you need to make sure all your wiring is good. I have found that WAS boards are pretty hard to screw up so just pressing a switch with an allen wrench should mess it up. Lastly if all else fails call blast or WAS and see what they have to say.

lew don't worry about it we all have those kinds of days. Way back when on here there was a question about a model 98 that was breaking every ball and the guy couldn't figure out why. everybody took a crack at suggesting a solution and nobody thought to ask if the ball latch was in backwards. Seriously i have seen these kinds of simple mistakes and not been able to see them for what they are so don't worry about it. just think next time. What is he simplest reason for the gun not working how I want it too and work up from there.

Hey, I just recently got my alias about a month ago. My bottom reg adjustment screw became cross threaded and is at a sideways angle, completely ruined. Is there any warranty that covers this and if so where do i send it to get it fixed? thank you.
Dakkon
02-15-2005, 11:32 PM
I don't believe you crossthreading a screw is warranty covered. But who knows, you can also buy a new bottom if you have to.

i just got an alias, it has a 110 frenzy in it.i was wondering if there was somewhere i could send it in to get it updated? and also what r good settings cause i didnt get a manuel and i know nothing.
Dakkon
02-21-2005, 12:08 AM
send it to blast to get updated to 127.2 for 40$.
For settings trying something like this..
BIP: 5ish
Bolt: 10-15
Dbounce/mbounce: Whatever you want (did 110 even have mbounce?)
dwell: usually around 8-9.5
eyes: forced
Et3rnal
02-21-2005, 01:40 PM
Ty for the help Drakkon. Just wish it was covered by the warranty because it was not my fault at all that it cross-threaded... 60$ for a new reg...
there is no mbounce and thanks for the info it shoots great but on delay with a empire halo.
Dakkon
02-21-2005, 10:01 PM
call blast and ask them about the crossthreaded screw, they might cover it. I know for say stripped holes they said it would cost 40$. On the older models. If its newer they might cover crossthreading.

anyone and how can i tell if the 2k2 feedneck can come off or if its press fitted. reason i asked is cause the person at the pb store said he cant take it off cuase its press fitted but i remember seeing the feedenck turn but it just stopped and i can see marks on the neck that look like it has been turned before.
the feed necks should come off.

2k2 feednecks are press fitted. If it is a clamping feedneck the top should screw off, not just the adjuster part.

take it to blast, but if you want to do it yourself you can stop by radio shack and pick up a lever microswitch and all you need to do is pick up some electronic wiring and solder the 2 wires to the board (if you feel comfortable about soldering)

pretty simple problem, u hope. Most likly u need to lube and clean ur noid. The lil vavle inside can start sticking, and it will let air out one of the unused holes. Just unscrew it and MAKE SURE U REMEMBER WHERE EVERYTHING WENT AND WHERE U PUT IT. we are taking a gasket that is very small, along w/ a oring that is prolly the smallest u ever seen, along with lil metal shafts that u will lose if u aint careful.
Before u try this, i would hit the red button on the noid, this is basicly a manuel activation, but try it to see if it has to do w/ wiring or board.

Instead of doing what Cali Guy suggests, send the solenoid into BLAST and they will replace it. As for your FPS, it could be a number of things. Incorrect pressures, bad poppet, or something within your inline. Send the gun into BLAST with a note or take it to Delta and have Zach look at it.
Hope this helps.

Go into PBnation to the Bob Long forums and do a search for the manual. Terry has posted alot of information on the board. You can also call BLAST and they will send you a sheet of paper explaining the board.
You cannot program the board through trigger pulls like a WAS board. You will have to invest in a new 12pt harness, membrane switch, and LCD screen in order to change settings.
Hope this helps.

Only remove the TOP of the solenoid, don't remove the bottom, the bottom has the 2 metal shafts which can easily be lost and theres no reason to open. Just open the top, don't lose anything, pull the thing out, and clean it, lightly grease it.

Try turning ur db to like 10, if it is still doin that, check ur trigger and switch. If none of that works send the gun to bob, if it isnt db probs then its a faulty board.
Bonkers-
thats a easy fix. Its the orings on ur ram. U can get some at homedepot or i would buy a repare kit, cause u prolly want to replace ur cupseal also.

I'm guessing you are talking about your solenoid, is it leaking out out of the side, or out of one of the hoses/barbs. Try to be more specific.

First the Infamous is a Timmy, it's just the new 06 stile.
Yes Zack Long told me the new 06 Guns such as the Infamous are a new design.
When you buy anything for them you must make sure you specify it's an 2006. Allthough the new Infamous board will fit our 05's. I just put one in my Alias and I just 05's my ****ies and put an Infamous board in it. the only thing Terry showed me you have to cut about 1/3 of the metal tong of the microe switch, just enough to clear the metal block in the handle were it goes.
But yes to answer the question, you have to make sure the parts are for the 06 Timmies.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner bro. Don't muscle anything yet. first look in the back of the gun at your bolt. you'll see a set screw that uses a alan wrench. turn it to the left (unscrew) just a 1/4 turn first. this set screw pushes on a spring that pushes on a ball bearing that sets in the holes of the bolt pin. If it's to tight you won't be able to pull the pine. Just try losening it just a hair first then if it's still tight a little more.
(and opposite if anyone is haveing a hard time keeping the pin in place if it pops up while in play just tighten the set screw.
Hope this helps.
