Ok don't laugh, but I have had the best success getting the feedneck off Protos by leaving them in my car for an hour or so let it get hot. Seems to loosen the glue up.
Good Luck

anything loctited...use a blow dryer or run it through some hot water if the loctited item isn't near any circutry. Then you can turn it.

yes it does twist out. The best thing to do if heat up the gun where the feedneck is and in a coupole of hours the clue will melt inside and you can twist it with your hand. Hope this helps but i had the same problem when i had my proto.

haha dang... well i went ahead and tried the wrench ting first before i got a chance too see the other responses. so i double wrapped the feedneck witth a towel and got it loose with a wrenth... however, i did scratch the stock feedneck like hell which now i feel hella stupid for it... but im getttin another feed, but still... :-\ . thanks for the help guys. now i just gotta make my efficiency a little better.

Use a strap wrench. Unless it's a twist lock feedneck use only blue loctite. Blue is removable but locks it in. Use red if you are going to use a twist lock though. I highly suggest you use a CCM type or an actual CCM feedneck.

the threads on the feedneck are hella thin, kinda gay but o well. yea im planning on getting the ccm... what is the price range would you think? and wheres the best place to get one?

You can get em at Chipleymachine.com. Yeah, CCMs are way better. Because since the threads are sooo thin, twist clamps can strip and possibly mess up the feedneck threads on the body also. It really sucks when it happens. They cost about $35.00 every where. It's a real easy install just put a drop of loctite on the threads on the feedneck and screw it in to the body. Make sure before you put it in you clean out any debris in the body threads. Usually a wipe with a napkin or rag will do that. If not you will have to pick them out with either an O-ring pick or something like it. Also make sure you aren't cross threading it.
