hi, i juz recently acquired a speed, and for somereason it wont charge. i plug it into the car, theninto the gun, its plug in as much as possible, and then turn on the gun. The red light on the charger will light up, but the speed's led's, wont cascade like there suppose to. any help would be greatly apreciated, i think i might take the 2 hour drive to sac to have robert moon check it out if he cant help me over this.

You must have the marker turned on before you plug in the charger. Does the light on the charger come on when the charger is plugged into the car?

alright, i got it charging. another problem, the reason i wanted to charge it was cuz the clicking of the solenoid started out faint and then grew lowder if i didnt pull the trigger for a few secdonds, so i figured low battery and fsdo. but the battery gague read full. i charged it and the faint click at first isnt there anymore so i think it worked but whats with the board, is it juz terribly inacurate or what?

2 complete 4-5 hour charges should fix the issue. If not, you will need to have your battery checked.

I've got a 2k Angel LCD. I charge it and it goes to full batteries just fine. However if I leave it tunred off for a couple of days in a row, when I turn it back on it's dead. I recharge it completely and it does this again. If I turn it on at least once a day it doesn't die like this.

Does this just mean the battery is bad and I need to replace it, or is it a bigger problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

*Edit: I forgot to say, when I flip it on and it's "dead" all of the test lights come on like normal.. then go off like it's booting up and then nothing happens.. This is where it seems to die.

It was a dead battery. Replaced it and now the gun seems to be holding its charge fine. Thanks Rob!

I would have your electronics tested in this order:

Battery
Board
Charger

Sounds like you have a bad cell. Just need to determine what caused the battery to fail.

May be as simple as replacing your manifold gasket. You may also want to check the orings on your ram for any nicks or cuts.

How does the A4 bolt compare to the Speeds bolt? I saw the A4 bolt yesterday it looks pretty kool. I noticed that is was slightly different.

I have not really seen a difference but some say it has helped stop the ball from rolling back wards and that it is easier on brittle paint.

Hello, Yesterday I went to go play at Midway paintball. Half way through the day my Angel Speed started chopping. Today I took off the grip frame to clean the sensi, and sensi rod. I found out the reason why I was chopping was because the yellow sensi strip has been cracked in half. I’ve had to replace my sensi before because I purchased it with a smashed sensi wire. I was running a ‘now’ broken Evo II hopper :( How could this of happened? And would it be possible to be sent a new sensi or what I would prefer to do is send my gun back for good and never purchase an angel again.

Par. 2: Broken Angel.
Yesterday my gun was also leaking. I would be shooting and all of a sudden I would here a leaking sound from the breach. The bolt was not re-cocking all the way because when I tried to open the breach it would not budge open. I shoot again and it would work fine. Around every 15 to 20 shoots later it would do the same thing over and over again. BATERY WAS CHARGED TWICE BEFORE EVER USED. BATTER WAS CHARGED FULLY THE NIGHT BEFORE. Why is it not re-cocking all the way?

well for the second problem that is because u r chopping... ur bolt is getting stuck on th broken paint and it causes the air to go out of the bolt...

I would recommend checking your ram shaft oring, sounds like it may damaged and a small piece of oring is causing the hammer not to competely reset. You should also check to ensure your hammer is secure.

Hey, I have an angel led and I can't seem to get the velocity at 280; it's either 240 or 320. This happened all the sudden, and to my knoweledge I haven't done anything to cause this. A buddy told me to clean the reg(it's the stock one). How would I do this?

I just bought a 2k3 angel, a few weeks ago, and it's been working fine, but last night when i turned it on, it wanted a pin number if i wanted to use it, so i started messing around with it, and i got the pin number- then it jumped to a 6 digit number, and i have no idea what that is. It says nothing about it in the manual, and i'm confused. so- is there some magic number that will make it go away or what?

first make sure your trigger is backed off a little. If that does not clear it up, try inputing 0000.

On my ir3 I have a delay in my trigger. Ill pull the trigger and like .25 seconds later the gun will shoot. Its enough to effect shooting people in the face. Earlier in the night it was working fine but later it started doing this.

the IR3 board is semi-permanently locked otherwise cunsult your manual if you have an old lcd select fire board or a new LCD 03.

My stock wasent chopping but smaking the ball and breaking it. Buy the A4 Soft Tuch bolt. Im shure Rob will hook you up with one.

k i got a speed and i just turned it on today to play around with the trigger and i notice is like does this weird ass sequence of lights. it goes all green then all yellow all red then goes through the modes battery, mrof, s-level, mode, dwell, sensi then it repeats itself and if i stop the led doesnt do anything for a sec then it will work sometimes then others itll do random lights. if i let the gun sit on for a few mins then pull the trigger it works fine. Whats wrong is the led not on tight?? The guns liek 3 days old with 200 shots dry fired. Also my A4 bolt the soft red thing came off on 1 of the 3 point its attached i put it back on but dont know if its gunna stay on anything i can do to make it stay on?? thanks

Hey Robert,
I recently went to charge my LCD w/ the new Nimh style battery.I was using the Angel car adapter through the Angel AC converter. The box on the car adapter was getting really hot and the LCD was not charging(marker was on)Then a fault code showed up on the screen as Code 4,I then unplugged the charger and turned the LCD off then on again and it didnt read any codes after that(Temp. of gun also decreased after unplugging it).I have used the marker since without problem but I need to know if I just need a new charger or if I should have the board looked at.

Hello, My dad is going to be getting an Angel Speed very soon and he was curious about the Sensi. I've heard stories of the sensi rod being broken or not working right when using a Halo B (that is what he'll be using) because of the force and was curious if these rumors were true or not. Also he needs to get a tank and wasn't sure if he should get a low pressure output or a high pressure output. If anyone can give some advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If the Halo is not working correctly it can cause some sensi issues. If you are buying a system, I would suggest going with a low pressure setup.

How can I remove my whole breach 'door' It is kind of sticky and dirty. There are 2 screws on either side of the rod that goes through do I just romove those?

Once you remove the grub screw, you will need to use 1mm screw. This the same screw used to hold the valve manifold to LCD 14 solenoid or a Solenoid from an Eblade. Just thread the screw into the breech pin and slowly pull out (work the breech back and forth as you pull. Be careful if you break of the screw.

Hey i've got a 2002 dark angel lcd. It is a really big gas hog. My friends angels don't do this, so I was wondering what I should do to fix it. I've heard that it could be the dwell, but my dwell is set at 14 which I was told was normal. Tell me what you think.

I have a Speed that I just recently bought. Because the battery was running low, I tried to charge it. It won't charge, however. I have tried two different vehicles, each with the car on and off. Basically what the LED's do is all light up, then do the cascade/waterfall effect like usual. But when the gun should normally stay on and have the one green LED blinking, it resets and will try to do the lights again. Now it only does that when I have the charger plugged in. Without the charger, it won't restart, it will just turn off. I talked to someone about the problem and they said that I might possibly have a bad battery. I checked the plugs and they are properly connected to the board. Any help would be awesome. Thanks,

I would have your board checked. As for the LCD, sounds like you may just need an exhaust valve (cup seal).

Our Eye Q mode uses the same board which comes in the Fly, so yes there will be an LCD screen.

ok my speeds ram is stuck is its back position. I was thinking that it was a oring that got torn up and jammed it up but it also could be that the screw on the hammer connecting it to the ram piston may have loosened its self. What do u recommend i do? should i try to take out the ram and if it has any resistance put it back in or should i not even try to mess with it. I was gunna just take the ram out and look at it but sum 1 said it may be the screw and i personally dont wanna get a fatty scratch inside the body trying to take the ram out. Do u think i need to just take it to u? also what would it cost about if i took it in to u bob? Thanks

thanks but i fixed it. The screw holding the hammer to the RAM shaft got loosened so i screwed it back on and tightened it. And i aired it up and it works just liek new again.

on my speed i aired it up today and there seems to be a small leak from what i can tell from the noid. I played with it a week ago and didnt notice anything. my lpr should be around 60-70 and i have my dwell at 14. I tried taking out a shim on my lpr but that didnt fix it so i dont think the noid could be over pressureizing. What do u think is wrong should i tried to grease the gasket on it and see if that helps?

ohh ya at first when i air it up it doesnt leak but when i shoot it it leaks after the shot.

I would first verify where the leak is actually coming from. A leak from the area surrounding the solenoid could be the solenoid, ram and even the rear of the LPR. It will be easiest to grease the solenoid gasket first. Let me know what you find.

ok i geased the gasket and it still leaks i took off the noid cover and back plate but i couldnt really tell where the leak was comming from. But when i press the test button on the noid and hold it it doesnt leak but when i release it it leaks again. ill check and make sure my ram and ever thing else looks ok and no bad o rings

I have a speed and I am having problems with the sensi, it passes the test, but when I am firing it the first couple of shots are fine and then I get an incredibly low rate of fire. I shoot one ball and then have to wait 2-3 seconds before I can get another. Could this be that it needs some sort of calibration? I have gone through the manual and can't find anything.
Also I had a spring behind the trigger that Mr Moon put in and an idiot friend of mine took apart the gun and lost the spring, I am not sure how big it was or where it even was.

Open up your grip (window side)
Press (scroll) the button on the left until MROF comes up
Then press (scroll) button on right until number is 20
Now press (scroll) button on right until CMOF comes up
Then press (scroll) button on right until number is 20

These steps can also be found in your manual.

You will still need to acquire a tool kit to check your LPR pressure

if you've ever shot a a4 fly then you've shot the new speed. The only difference is the diffent style frame and body. Over all i would say its a great gun. Can't beet it for the price. The only this that i would say is a little different is that it uses a 9volt battery instead of the rechargable one that comes with a4's and speed ect... I'm not really sure about consistancy but sence its sporting a4 internals, it should get exactly the same thing. But you should shot it your self and then choose weather or not you want to buy it or not. Hope this helped. :)

Yes it helped alot, I ended up buying my buddys Joy Div. on off him. I was wondering if any of you guys thought about the evolve newton--worth the money? have any of you tested it yourself? thinking f picking one up at SD.

evolve makes crap products and overcharges. Their customer care is very good but their quality care is dirt. I have seen bent, and out of tolerance parts from evolve alot. Their claim at lowering the LPR pressure is total bull because the A4's and newer rams run at 35-50 psi. Maybe the delrin/steel ram makes a difference in reciprocating mass but I doubt it is worth the two bills.

ok at commander's cup I actually got to talk to the guys of evolve and here is my opinion. The guys really care about there products and so will take care of you if you can get ahold of them. They setup the newton valve in max lundquist's 05 speed and I got to test it out as well as watch max use it. When they first set it up it sucked badly. Even with the eyes on max was blending paint like mad. After a thourough inspection and retune by evolve it worked fine but my take on that is that if the makers can't even drop in the kit and have it work right the first time(and they swore it was working when they first used it) Then how is a user who bought the kit and has no experience with it supposed to have it work just dropping it into their gun? I gota tell you though if these guys were US based or at least had a group of techs here in the US they would be in a lot better position as far as ability to support products that in theory should work great. As far as the DM4 and new DM3 bolts go I would say wait till there has been a few months of use by other consumers before you make a decision. I know they have been doing extensive beta and alpha testing so hopefully their production quality will improve from the past.

It's rare but it does happen on occasion. The faster your halo is the higher the chance is, because there is more tension on the ball stack, even then it's rare.

Ok, I have an Angel LCD 2k1, I know its old but works good! My question for you is Can I put a newer angel body on my frame? so basically i just want it to look newer and i know that it will be lighter. But can it be done?!?!?

You can put a newer body on an older frame a few options will not work i.e. trigger wheels

Yes, the frame will fit but will not work without the 05 board and trigger.

the 45 frame on a 2k3 Speed....go to www.fixmyangel.com They are selling IR3 45 Frames, which will probably be a better fit then the 05 speed frame

All I got on mine is some fine-tuning/freak kit/twisted volumizer (only for looks). My 5speed rips w/hardly any breaks/chops and low low maintenance. They got the evolve kit for better efish=150. and for less kick. They got bolts, volumizers and boards...but, really...if you look at it...they are great stock.

I have an 2002 LCD. And I have had not even a hiccup with it ever. Just wanted to comment on how after reading all this,it seems that that maybe alot of these problems are because people are screwing around with their markers. Gheese guys. If it works don't fix it.

I've recently aquired a G-5 , and my problem is when i'm shooting during a game , a pause from switching side's of a bunker , the gun won't shoot , the led light's are on but i have to turn it off and on again to get it shooting, tried changing batteries and the problem still does it , can you help please!

you need a board for the gun to function....and your buying my old 2k2 angel....the black one from splatter00...its sick.

I have an 01 angel lcd and would like to put a different board in it. The battery is a pain to charge, and i've heard I could put a board in that takes a 9v.
