Why does Smart Parts Suck?

Some people don't like Sp b'c of lawsuits they brought against other companies. Their products work great.

haahaha baby seals thats funny ppl dont like sp cuz they sue other pb co. that use selenoids in there paintball guns and the co. are foced to settle bcuz sp hold the pattent on selenoids in pb guns(its more complex than that) and they want to se paintball grow not die

i think smart parts rules. not because of their products but because of their smarts. wouldnt you want to make more money and what better way to do it than sue other companies. hey if you take all their money they cant make any more products and sooner or later they will be out of the compition. if more and more companies get out of compation then smart parts will be at the top and that is their ultimate goal

smart parts wants to sue any gun maker because they think that they hold the patent on everything, like springs trigger, hell they will sue over colors, they just have a problem trying to keep up with bob long, because every tournment all you see are timmy's well i am wrong you see shockers but they are being worked on because they are broke, it is just not reliable enough.

Sp had the patent they bought from PVI on the old shocker expanded to cover some aspects of paintgun automation that were not their invention. most importantly using a microswitch to activate the firing sequence of a gun. they promptly cut a few sweet deals with some other companys not to fight them (dye, national pb, others?) then started sending out cease and desist letters and sueing smaller company's that didn't have the resources to fight them. ICD, AKA, Bob long, PMI ect. While what they did was legal (mostly) it is not a legitimate patent. the only problem is that no one has had the resources to stand up to them and other mfg's were unwilling to stand together when SP first started their suits. now they've been picked off one by one, and unless WDP's counter suit leads to the SP patent being negated there is little left that can be done.

yah they sued companies and they put some out of business completley from makin p-ball guns. But its not only that they also have pretty crappy guns and crappy service. Thats just my input on things :)

they dont suck, their business ethics suck. And wgp , well they havent said anything since Glen Palmer sent them a letter, LOL will be interesting to see how that plays out 8)

Business is business. Money makes the world go round plus look at all the teams that SP sponsors. Gazillions. I think the Shocker is a dope design but I look forward to see what happens with WDP because they put SP in there place and Glen Palmer to K2. Hopefully someone will create a new style of pb gun outta all this.

but the thing u fail to realize that the companys just doing their own thing (such as a solenoid monolpoly) would directly effect u and me (the consumers) drasticly in price. ÂÂ*I mean tell me would u just sit back n say "go ahead sp sue their pants off" when if they do they can simply raise prices due to lack of compotition*

*which is like blood for the economy

n sorry for the mini economics lesson ::) . But i really like their products...I mean i use an I-framed Impulse, n plan to get an 03 shocker...but smartparts r a bunch of corporate pigs ::)

Actually they hold no patents, just the copyright on the name autococker.

What SP is doing is a good thing and a bad thing, they are trying to force themselves into a monopoly, which is bad, prices go up, choices on different markers go down.

What is good is the dramatic increase in innovations being brought on by SP. Look at the Super 68 and Hair Trigger, super mech's will soon own the tourney scene, and electro's will have to stand down.

Another question though is, who will get the patent (if any) AGD or Gemeni for the pneumatic triggers? From what I've heard they are a similiar technology based on the theor, but still different.

you walk into a pb shop orshop for pb guns online

the only type of gun you can buy is varitions of the 2 following markers

Impulse
Shocker

wow theres a choice

and because no company can have a monopoly of one type of buisness like paintball or if you are microsoft the goverment will foce a split of the company but that still dosent stop sp from raising prices up the a-hole when there are only 2-4 major pb product companies and i be they will be brass eagle spyder and whoever makes those mongoose and icon guns
