Alright, my HPA tank has a broken gauge. Not like it doesn't work, but there's a crack in the middle and i'd like to change it so it looks better. I depressurized the tank, unscrewed the gauge, put the new one in, and covered the seal with teflon tape. However, now the tank is leaking out of the hole on the screw in part (the very top, not where the burst disk is).

What do you think happened and how can I fix it?

i always would recommend taking it to an airsmith, or someone who knows how to work on an HPA tank. but, what i did was empty my tank, all the way out, then puch down on the pin with a allen key, and clean it out. also, remove the new gauge and check if any dirt got into the regulator.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND LETTING A PROFESSIONAL DO THIS!!

is it leaking out of the pin? The part that gets pushed down when u screw it in? Or are you talking about something else on the reg of the tank. I would also suggest taking it to a shop and having them look at it. It is prolly just a simple thing, could be a bad oring in the reg, there are a few and there pretty small, and could cause either small or large leaks.

And i wouldnt use a allen to push the pin, let it out in a bottenline--, just hook it to your gun, disconnect the macro, and turn on ur bottomline and let it out. Only use your fingers on the pin say u have less than 100 psi left, a allen could perminatly damage it.

i didnt mean he was to empty the tank with the allen key, i ment he should use it to push down the pin when the tank is empty, so he can get in there to clean it
