trigger program it. Hold the trigger down when you turn it on and then release it and program it through the LED. Click the trigger to cycle the menu red is for dwell, green is debounce, and orange is for eye mode. hold the trigger down on eye mode till it goes out. let it blink. one is bypass, two is delayed, three is forced, and four is simulate. once it has blinked 1-4 times click the trigger the amount of times for the mode you want and wait till it flashes lots of colors then turn the gun off and back on and it will be set.

la I don't know if the SOB board is trigger programmable. if you have a manual check that.

My guess would be either your membrane is bad or your harness has a bad wire to membrane. That's why it doesn't show. Check for any pinched wires or cut wires. And then resolder or buy new ones.

LCD Ribbon cable does not matter if he can get the screen to show up the normal screen, like the loading message and the "Booting..." I'm just guessing he can't get into the menu where you adjust things. Which has nothing to do with the ribbon cable.
