Hello SacPaintball.

I'm new to the paintball scene, and I used to airsoft, so I have a few cans of 100% silicon spray/oil. Is that OK to use in a paintball gun?

Thanks in advance. ;D

I have a Spyder MR1 as my first gun.

no, go to your local paintball store and get a bottle of their gun oil and ask them how to apply it and how much. so you can see first hand.
I usually tell ppl every box of 2000 put a couple drops (2)
in the asa before you screw the tank on and that will shoot through and oil your gun.

ps this method and oil is for spyders and similar guns not high end timmys, egos, shockers and such.

OK, thanks! 8)

Only thing, my dad sorta messed with my gun and I think he sprayed some silicon into it. Is it that bad?

I just bought my spyder yesterday! :-\

(edit: I used the 100% light silicon spray in my gas blow back pistols, they've been OK since I bought them, and they're still OK even after I sold them.)

are you sure? because awhile back i bought 100% silicon oil from predator and it works perfect. ive used it on my spyder for a couple of years and on my matrix for like 6-7 months

You can use it, I just meant get the oil for your gun so you can control how much your useing and the spray airasol can would be hard to do. You should only put acouple drops every couple or few times you go depending on how much paint you shoot asch time. If you spray your bolt outside your gun you should shake or wip the excess of.

I see what your getting at. Spray = not so easily controlled application :)
