Before and after.....

I been playing strickly pump for a bit now and love it and have kept hearing of these Pgp's so I figured It would make a great project, one I have never done so I picked up a pgp2k new from PPS and started in on it. Polished to brass, both inner and outer tubes, cleaned all the factory gunks off the internals and inside pump handle ( what the crap is that stuff ??? ) Poished the striker and re oiled everything. Shoots great. Upgrades coming next...

Adapter plate from gruntbull for a 86* CCM frame :evilgrin:
PPS Speedgate
PPS performance tune
PPS Milled ball slots in upper tube
PPS widgets
Maybe some spiral venting, no sure yet

Well on to some pics...

Tear it down to bare brass
Wet polish with
000 steel wool
then 0000 steel wool
then No 7 polish compound and hand buff
Then finalize with "nevr-dull"

then smile :D Or trade her to me and Ill do it :D

i dont think iy ever had paint on it. it was brass when i found it a year ago. the problem is, the internals are being eaten away by oxidation. i need to completely restore it so it will shoot again.it is a beautiful gun and i dont think i could ever part with it. but i might need some help tracking dwn parts for it.

internals could also be polished by hand and parts can be found on mccarterbrown.com or paintmagazine.com . 2 great sites for old brass knowledge

PUG = $313

PGP2 = $105
PGP performance tune = $79
ultra quikstrip = $50

Total = $234

wow. still costs less than a Pug, and should be just about as good.
