GREAT! what a happy ending. This is the third time I've seen a marker recovered and it's all from us sticking together bro's.
Remember anyone thinking of this when the chance arrives, don't let temptation get the best of you. You can't even use the da*n thing when everybody's looking for it. And if you sell it. Someone we'll see it and the backtracking starts until they come back to you.

Congratulations Labelskate!
Thank you Tecdady!
I'm glad this story worked out to have a happy ending. Label, I sincerely hope you still press charges on this kid...especially since his parents will be held responsible since he is a minor.
However, the important thing is you got your marker back.
Way to go!

Rock on TEC!
Always great to see a thief get caught. I can't believe he was even posting on this thread. Just shows how dumb he really was. I hope he gets fired, whipping from mom (which for some reason I doubt he'll get), prosecuted and shot up at the field!
Glad that you're getting your marker back.
Group hug, we could use one around here lately.
Yes, please post any police reports or follow-up information.

If he didnt take his gun in the first place, he wouldnt have to press charges, his actions will have consequences.SIMPLE AS THAT!

I guarantee you that this kid has tried this before. He'll more than likely try it again. Obviously he has his parents snowed. Either that, or they are lousy parents.
Press charges. Make him an example. Hit him with a ten ton legal megablaster and sweep up the pieces.

Guys,
I gotta say, even though I tend to be a curmudgeon, I'm really impressed with the caliber of people on this board. Everyone pulled together to get this kid...from out of state, no less...his marker back.
It was fantastic news to hear that he got his marker back in the same condition he sent it.
Special kudos to Chris 'tecdady'.
I'm proud of you guys.

Um no, I'm not.
I wouldn't press any charges, and yes I know him and I'm sure hes very sorry for what he did.
He's not sorry, if I stole a gun, and I knew everyone knew, I'd be scared ****less and have a worried face on. The worried face would be confused as a sorry face to my friends. You are a very very misled person, he isn't sorry, he is worried about having charges pressed against him.

I'm just so glad for you.
Getting your gun back must be giveing you a real good felling of relief. I know what a helpless, frustrating feeling haveing something stolen feels.

You don't "accidentally" take someone's gun... >:( >:( It was quite obviously an intentional act, and it required some thought process to do so. :o Every idiot should pay for their crime, even if they weren't supposedly thinking clearly... :o (Maybe I am just in a beat em down and elbow drop them kind of mood, but its a good thing I am in Montana right now, far away from the drama!)
H to the OLLY :o :-*

I've followed this as a fourm ghost but this kid who kept your gun will try it again. Please contact the authorities in his city and alert them with his name, address and what occured. This way they will be notified prior to when he tries it again. I am having my own issues with someone I bought stuff from over sacpb.com over three weeks ago. The moron lives in the same neighborhood as my grandparents. The monitary amount is unimportant, its the principle. Who knows, maybe I'll drop by his house and explain the situation to his parents. He lives in Lodi btw so if I end up doing it I'll post who he is.
