Airball Sherwood??? 2/9/08

Hello all,
Me and some buddies went out to play some airball yesterday at sherwood (i know i know) due to it being so close to where we live. Anyway maybe less than 1/2 the bunkers were fully inflated, the others were COMPLETELY deflated or falling over. The field was complete garbage, I cant believe they still charged full admission for it even after we complained. Main guy there is cool, employees are cool, but when i asked whats up with the bunkers, they simply neglected to fix or air some up. The field was completely unplayable. I understand its not in season yet, but comon fix your bunkers if youre charging full price.

Just needed to vent, sherwood was THE place back in the day, now it seems to be falling off.

Yeah Sherwood has gone downhill, some of refs are just lazy. It takes them forever to start games. When you ask them for a paint check they take their sweet ass time and by the time the get there it's already been wiped. I agree, the main guy and few of the other guys are cool but they are there to do a job not to sit around all day on their iphone.

^ I agree but the refs are volunteers. I never minded the refs, they are cool. Let them do their own thing, i want to play. If dude i shot wipes, he'll think twice the next time i grill him. To me refs are a bonus, if they call someone out for you-great, if not big whoop. But the airball bunkers- comon now. I hope Keith ( or whatever the main guy's name is ) reads this.

if your looking for a decent field your gonna have to drive a little bit. Davis, Lodi, CEP, they pay their refs to take care of the fields and the player care about the field and want to play on nice fields. Stop wasting money and stop going to sherwood.

^ I dont disagree with you. Sherwood is already a 40 minute drive. Im in the Berkeley hills. So either way its a drive. Its convincing my friends thats hard--. Im just saying, you pay for entrance- shouldnt that mean there is a certain ammount of upkeep that the field must have? Its ethics to me. I run a small business myself, its all about the customer and customer care. If i made a complaint like "hey man, i paid full price and your airball isnt playable", i would expect some kind of compensation (free air, 1/2 off etc). But no, full price for everything. Ive always played at sherwood and found no issues, its just that slowly they're starting to give less of a care about their own field. The Jungle must be killing their business i guess ?

take ur 40 mins add another 40 minutes and you'll arrive at a great field. and im some what sure that jungle isn't grabbing up all their business. its all the new fields opening up that have nicer fields.

SCP was like that a lot until we complained a LOT. Now the reffs and the kid running the place are really on top of things and it is a much better place to play. It boggles my mind that someone who owns a field would allow it to be of such low quality. Go to SCP you will enjoy it.

Vallejo indoor is great, good field fees/refs. I like it alot

im playing in s.w. this weekend and ill talk to the owner or who ever is running it. couse there air ball is nice when is air up right.

The fields are as big or bigger than the Antioch.
