Halo trash it or upgrade/repair?

I recently found my old Halo from back in the day and was wondering if its worth upgrading/repairing or should I just get a new one. It is one of the original Halo's that were gear driven to spin the cone and not belt drive. On top of that it no longer powers up with fresh batts. Fried board maybe? :confused:
