new to paintball

hello...I'm new to paintball, looking to buy a paintball gun...but donno which to go with.

I probably wanna get something that not over price but able to do more upgrade later on.

don't know any brand at all, I hope to see some suggestion...which one to go with...

some friends told me to look into the ION and the A-5, or a used etek ego...but the etek ego seem to be a little over the price ($500-700 just the gun it self? with some other needed stuff will be amost $900)

I guess I'm a receational player, so yeah...

Buy a nice face mask before a marker, but the proto slg is a nice marker.

$300-$400 ish I guess, can that cover the air and the loader??

Yeah man, get the slg. Nice small marker. For it's price, you can get a good loader and tank for under 500 dollars new.

Yes that is a fine gun to buy. Take off the drop forward (the long thing hanging on the bottom of the grip) and it will be great. You also would benfit from a good hopper (i prefer velocity jr) like a velocity or a halo. Also you can get by with a steel 3000 psi air tank, but obviously a carbon tank would be better. And like someone else said do NOT go cheap on the mask. Be sure to spend more than $50 on the mask and you should be fine.

Bob Long timmy is a great gun. I personally only shoot BL's. Try it out see if you want to stay in the sport before you go out and spend a tremendous amount of money. Like you said you are really doing rec ball for now. But as alot of us know, It ends up being alot more than just the occasional day here and there. GL and remember. Just have fun!!!!!
