The $0 out of pocket plan

Talk to local field. Get date. Tell them % of fees go to them for the day use. Set date

Talk to store. Ask them to order a pallet of paint to sell at tournament. Give them $ per. case sold, no staff of them req. You set price of paint, allow pre order with team sign up. Give Store deposit prior to ordering, remainder after tournament date. Of course free paint would be best. FPO

Get some volunteer refs. Maybe give them something but Free is best. now your staffed

Cash prizes! Yep make some cheezy big checks and give them out at the final ceremony.Yea I won!

If you want you can get some trophies, but cheezy check its what they get. They can take it home and hit the cat with it if they want. Or use it for target practice.

Take some of the sign up fees and go down to Cost Co. or Sam’s club and get some stuff to drink and eat. You got to know a few people with coolers and just toss some soda and water on ice.now thats yummy

How many scubas can you round up? Talk to a store to give you some CO2 and air. Some teams may have a compressor you can use for the day. Just give them free entry and some paint. Hey your tanks leaking

Ive done it before. Its work but after the day is done and you look at your grip full of cash it can be rewarding.

all though i do know some owners at various fields and shops, it's not as easy as it sounds. ÂÂ*Even if I was given donated or discounted items, presenting the money up front for prizes etc would still be costly, which is something that I don't have. ÂÂ*

if sacpaintball did run a tournament. ÂÂ*It would probably have to be done by Tom, Pat or Derek. ÂÂ*I am more than happy to sacrifice any time that would be beneficial to a possible event. Until then, I'll leave it with the other mods and players to decide if they want this to happen or not. They have quite a bit more experience when it comes to throwing on events.

stampie you really need to give us some credential here. In concept your idea should work but take it form somebody who knows. It just isn't that easy. To get enough teams in the first place you have canvas every place of business that will let you post something or leave flyers. Yes the cost to throw it may be cheap but the leg work is immense. I think speigs and ryan can back me up on this the rodents have thrown a couple tourneys that should have turned out twice the teams they have.

but just a bit of notice, stupiddogg will be doing another event in the very near future :) Remember Grrl Day?, this will be bigger :) And the best part will be it is gonna promote the sport in the positive direction grrl day did :)
