Press Preview Game with Dynasty @ Bay Area Paintball.

Last Thursday 6th November, JT, San Diego Dynasty, Activision and the NPPL hosted the world premier release for Championship Paintball 2009 at Bay Area Paintball for the video gaming industry’s premier media writers and testers. The writers were treated to a personal paintball clinic put on by Dynasty’s Ryan Greenspan, Alex Fraige, and Yosh Rau followed by intense tournament style play with and against the Dynasty guys. “What a great night,” explained Steve Williams, Activision’s Global Brand Manager. “To be able to show the media writers the rush of tournament style play with the best players competing in the sport, and then take that into the realism of our new video game is what we wanted to show them.”
Yosh Rau of Dynasty went on to say “…tonight it was a great opportunity to show people who are experts and know a lot about gaming that there is a definite crossover in actual competitive paintball play. To see the smiles on their face after coming off the field, that’s what makes paintball so great.”

JT provided the writers with all their playing gear complete with WGP Synergy markers, Viewloader Force Hoppers, JT team gear, and the new Status QLS goggle system. Jade Feliciano and the entire crew at Bay Area Paintball provided excellent tech and ref services.
Later, after the paintball action, the journalists took their new paintball skills to the video arena to take on Dynasty on a three on thee format. Now the tables were turned and it was time for payback. Hungry for redemption, the journalists with their newly honed skills started off picking off guys on the break, bunkering them in the snake, and running for the flag like true paintball champions.
