Paintball drop test?

I see people doing or talking about the drop test.

How do you do it?

How far up are you supposed to hold it?

i like my to break at chest heigth

I prefer tossing it a little rather than just letting it drop. Drop test is ok but gravity alone can't simulate a paintball traveling at 300 fps.
