I will do it...if I get something out of it...that reminds me: I did football for..like a week(boy was that a mistake being a metal head....) and we were supposed to sell candies and I quit before I gave the stuff back, so I had the money (like $100) and box of candies. Who came out ahead? ;)

Im sorry I DONATE about 15+ hours a week to this site, why? cause I love the people and friends I have made over the years. Tec didnt make this site for a profit he made it to support the players in the area. I sujest before you make statements you check the sources of that info

I didnt get my sources from broncs post but good assumtion, look at the "advertise with us link". Im just saying hes trying to force "give money" down out throats when sac has many sponsors that are giving lots of money; also they are getting money from google ad sense. And stuppiddog you may be "donating" 15 hours a week but when you think about it im sure alot of people would pay to become a mod. Either way you know you are apreciated.

BTW i think that charging for advertising for tournaments was a bad idea because there use to be tons of toruenys every month posted but now there are barely any. In my eyes thats not for the good of the player but this section of my post shouldnt be in this fourm more in the talk to mods section

Trust me, Tec and all the others on SPB are providing YOU a service because they love paintball, not for the paltry amount of money they make from the site. Guys like you make it so much more difficult because you are so unappreciative.
You should go ask your parents if $800 a month is enough to live on.

How many of you have had to pay to run a dedicated box (self-managed alone is rather expensive, even more for managed.) Also I know the box has been upgraded specifically towards this site (the more ram awhile back, for example) and keep up a site with over 8000 users. Also, you forget to realize that not all of those sponsors pay. PBDecals for example. Also the sacpaintball.com shirts selling at half off, were probably a loss/break even. 9$ for a shirt is cheap. a bit to cheap.

Also, I have donated, and I have no qualms about where the money is spent.

the reason that no1 buys stickies is because although they are $4.95 for 14 days (which is very cheap), there are only 19 users online as I make this post; pbnation has 1073. so although the price for stickies may be 9 dollars less on this site and be stickied for 10 more days than pbn's 4, in the 4 days your thread is stickied on pbn, it will get over 50x the exposure per day.

the disadvantage of pbn is that when u dont sticky something, it may be off the first page within minutes, sacpb it will remain there for around 24 hours. so what most people probably think is that u might as well "up" your thread every 24 hours; but the reality is that your thread will be noticed much more if you sticky it, especially when there are only 2 stickied threads on the forum. what i have come to conclude is that most people on this site are too cheap to buy a sticky.


...who remembers when there used to be a whole page full of tourneys on the tournament forum? (maybe the price now is too much?)

Yet it seems like sum how Got Paint, Stupiddogg, Techdaddy, Brad, and WAP some how turned "which should be more than enough to keep sac up" into "Tecdaddy is a raping us and stealling tons of money that he is buying tons of stuff with".

Instead of posting something so stupid and lowering your standards you could have easily made an intellegent post that explained to me how you dont make a profit of this site yet you were inclined to try to flame someone that is greatly younger than you. Dont take this as if im trying to hate on you thats just what i think i dont know who else agrees with me though.

actually ninja, this has been posted and covered in depth. you have been around a while, and you have seen it. why should i have to explain myself to you? or to anyone? this is my business. do i answer to you? no i dont. and besides, its just WAY more fun to make fun of you. the picture of the kid and his gi joe was just PRICELESS like a mastercard commercial.
