Kinda tuff to get a response to this thread since most users haven't hit college age yet......but anyway I thought this was funny: I win by 32 cents, I spent $348.89 for my Fall 2004 books. (tax write-off) ;D

I'll wait until the end of the first week to buy Spring 2005 books.

are you guys purchasing at the bookstore? If so, your suckers. Do all your textbook shopping at half.com. I save about $150/semester by buying my books there.

Spring '05 cost me $160 for 4 classes.

Hey xXAmorphisXx, if you go to Sac State you should be able to get a copy of Visual Studio from the MIS department office for free. That's how I got it last semester. You give them your drivers license (or some ID) and take the CD to the computer lab, copy the CD, and return it to get your license back.

I used to spend between 200-300 a quarter back when i was in college(just a few years ago and not when the dinasours roamed the earth.) Buy used books first, and go to an off campus book store if you have them. If taking a popular class ask around if anyone is selling that textbook. It'll be cheaper than buying it and the seller would get more money for it. When you get into you upper division courses make some friends and sell it to them or trade. That way you have more money for paintball....this is what i used to do.
