i got some questions about paint. I just bought a case of draxxus midnight paitballs. i threw one in the air about 10ft and it hit the ground and broke. Did i get sum kind of walmart paint or are paintballs supposed to break like that. I also threw one at my fridge kuz i thought they didnt break.

wow, no you didnt get walmart paint, the good paint should break if you drop it on the ground from about knee high. if the paint didnt break then you would have to worry about it being from walmart. the paint with brittle shell is for the higher end lowere pressure guns that shoot at high rates of fire. the shell can be so thin because the pressures are low so they wont break in the gun/barrel and will break on the other players.

no it is not wal mart brand. ÂÂ*midnight is a low end draxxus paint. ÂÂ*Paint shouldnt break if u drop it from ur knee. ÂÂ*where did u hear that up. ÂÂ*I think the bounce test is if u hold it at 6 feet it should take 3 times droping it to break.

if you take hellfire or crucifire and drop it from about knee high it will break, then again it is the best paint.

I agree with the bounce test. If it drops from ur knee and breaks then is it not gonna break with the bolt hits it since its so fragile.

not with the guns that run on low pressures, the high end guns, like my empire, you can run more fragile paint because the air pressure wont break the shell on the paint.

Exactly. The bolt isn't what propels/forces a paintball. It's the air.

YUP, IF THE BOLT HIT THE BALL IT WOULD MOST LIKELY BREAK THE PAINT, IF YOU LOOK AT THE END OF YOUR BOLT IT IS ROUNDED SO IT DOESNT TOUCH THE BALL, IT FORCES THE BALL OUT WITH THE AIR.

The bolt does touch the ball, it loads it into the chamber a fraction of a second before air is released by the valve.

ya the bolt does touch the ball. its rounded so it cups the ball. there are sum flat faced bolts though. The bolt really doesnt propel the ball that much but it does a little the air does most of it.

see i always thot the bold was the main thing and the air just recocks the bolt for it to shoot again

If he has an e99 and it's pretty stock (no new valves etc) then it's going to be high pressure.

I couldnt imagine paint breaking from knee hight. Wonder how it wouldnt break in ur hopper or in the bag since its so fragile.

thats why there is padding in some of the paint boxes and lots of the high grade paint do break in people hoppers from diving/sliding! it sucks!
