spyder tlx vs. rodeo

I'm considering buying one of these two models. Is it worth spending the extra money for the rodeo?

an electro spyder is an electro spyder they always come out with different types next month it'll be a new one they are all pretty much the same thing. so i'd go w/ the cheaper one

Well...

...on the one hand, one of those markers is a Spyder...

...as opposed to the other one, which is a Spyder.

They are the same marker internally. The only difference is the exterior. Either way, they are both great markers. Buy whichever tickles your fancy. However, where you really need to invest is in a good set of goggles. Everything else is secondary.

Your marker will always be replaceable. Your eye and ears aren't.

Wait for the Raven Primal (http://www.flagpull.com/viewarticle.php?aid=31&PHPSESSID=015711f59123b3cb3 fedb118f399f370) to come out. It's electric and has an eye. And just fyi, Spyder=Kingman=Raven. So, it's a Spyder with an eye. But it's not out yet.

So between the two you picked, the Rodeo comes with a built-in regulator with gauge. So you can use CO2 or compressed air. You'll really like the regulator. I'd go with the Rodeo. Actually I just bought that one for my nephew on line a few days ago. I really like machanical guns, but if you like electro's you can get a Spyder Imagine for about the same $$. But my short answer is go Rodeo. You'll out grow the TLX in a month!

thanks very much for all the input. i went ahead and bought the tlx from ebay for $150. Included were a 12 oz tank, a mask, and a hopper. i figured they were essentially the same so i went with the cheaper one. thanks again
