I myself love WGP, but thank god Glenn Palmer is doing this. Glenn Palmer has written a letter to K2/WGP and has ordered a cease and desist. K2 taken patents and trademarks over the hill and it really annoyed me and others. I support Glenn on this 100%.

Maybe this could boost the chances of EBlazers? :)

Yep was reading that earlier today.

I hope to see the Illusion stick around for a long time, and not stoped because of the baseless actions from K2. If it ever came to civil courts I think It'll be easy to prove. Even though Camille (the first typhoon) was stolen, there were early hurricane ads in APG, pre-dating the auto-cocker. Wether or not it actually comes down to the courts, I think Glenn just wants K2 to realize they don't hold the cards and shouldn't be trying to muscle out other companies. They only hold a copyright on the name auto-cocker, not the actually pneumatic system.

My hurricane (april '91) may even pre-date autocockers, but I'm not sure. Either way GP was using pnumatics prior to WGP.

Actually, WGP holds no patents at all, they have only coined the name autococker. Remember when they took all those companies that copied the autococker, they didn't even have the leg to stand on there.

Here's some info from the horses mouth:

From Glenn Palmer
quote:
------------------------------------------------------------

I don't think he has any plans to push it. Glenn isn't after money or fame, if he was, he'd have pushed the subject a long time ago. He just wants K2 to realize that they, in trying to force other people out for intellectual property that they do not have, are wrong, and as such, K2 needs to realize this and cease.
That's all that letter is trying to do.

------------------------------------------------------------

EXACTLY RIGHT !!!!

I could not have described it any better.

Proving my point beyond any reasonable doubt will be no problem at all and Bud knows it. Yes, two prime pieces of evidence have been stolen but I could easily replicate them if need be and there is a lot more where those came from anyway. Even just dated magazine references would meet the burden of "a perponderance" of the evidence.
K2 has not yet responded and I kind of doubt they will. I don't think they want what I know and can proove, to become a matter of fact in the public record; and there is little that would give me greater satisfaction.
No, I didn't patent the automation system or any of the component designs but I did try to make sure that no one else could patent any of it legitimately either.

"and that's all I have to say about that".
