View Full Version : omen?
my friend and i are working on his omen. the problem: i'll be shooting and after only a few shots, the bolt un-cocks itself. i'm pretty sure its the re-**** pressure but i just cant get it right. what i tried to do is start with the screw all the way in, take a couple shots, if it wasnt right i would unscrew it a little, and so on and so forth. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!
ps. i'm pretty sure its not the reg cause its letting plenty of air through.

As lame as it sounds, try adjusting the gun per the directions in the manual. Are you serious that the gun un-cocks, or does it fail to recock? :o
And what's your set up? C02, HPA...?

Maybe it's the sear slipp'n. Make sure the trigger frame screws are tight.
Did yeah mess around with the battery? Maybe there's a wire pushing in on the solenoid.

I had the same problem(I think) check the sear plate on the bottem of the hammer. Mine was coming unscrewed, so I throw some blue loctite on the screw, if that is the problem DON'T over tighten the screw it will snap the sear plate in 1/2!

i am using hpa. i'm not positive what u mean by "un-****" and "recock" but im pretty sure it doesnt recock cause it un-cocks itself after a shot. i took off the frame and put it back on so it should be on there good.
im working on the sear and hammer now but what is the sear plate? do you mean sear? im looking in the manual and i only see 6 and 8...i must be blind
thanks to both of you

The sear plate is the black piece of metal on the bottem of the hammer.

The omen recock pressure is insanely sensative. I had the same problem with mine. It was literally a tap of the allen wrench difference to get it to recock correctly. The manual says it's a quarter turn, but it was just nudge after nudge for me. But other than that just follow the manual.

I was thinking of ummm.. hmmm. Well ok, you **** gun, shoot and it does not recock for the next shot = fails to recock.
Or you **** gun, shoot and it does recock for the next shot but then slips forward, maybe firing on it's own... = uncocks. Anyway, here's a quote from Spartan X:
"Q:Why is my gun not re-cocking, even with the recock adjust all the way out?
A:This can be caused by a couple of miss adjustments.
First check your Strikers bumper, if it is broke, there's the problem, this is caused by having the recock to high. If it's not broken, it is probably caused by over pressurizing the gun. When there is too much pressure behind the valve, the Omen's striker is not able to open the cup seal enough to shoot or re-**** the gun. The regulator's output must be with in a curtan range to work properly. Turn your regulator all the way down, and adjust your recock all the way in. Start from stratch and slowing bring your regulator's pressure up till you velocity is 10 fps faster then you want it. Then start the re-**** sweet-spotting prosses."
