PE 68/3k. About 3 weeks ago on a thursday night it had roughly 2k psi in it. I pulled it outta my bag and put it back it. Next day it was empty. Last weekend at SCP I get it filled along with my normal tank. As I'm walking back to my car I hear it leaking, I think maybe its just the overflow valve. We'll the gauge said it was at just under 3k so it shouldn't leak. I put my finger over one of the overflow valves on the side of the reg to see if it's leaking elsewhere (no soapy water handy). Pop! The gauge cover pops off and hits me in the nose. Rest of the air leaks out via that hole and gauge. Ok, does this sound like the reg is toast? I don't really wanna spend $40-50 at a local shop to fix a $100 tank. It's a backup to my system X/centerflag and doesn't see use. Any ideas what the hell is wrong? Prior to these shennagians it worked fine.

It's leaking through the gauge and the fill nipple? Is that what I understand?
Try replacing the oring on the little brass thing (don't you hate it when you know names but forget, I remember the letter P) under the fill nipple (when tank is empty use a wrench to take off fill nipple, then replace the oring)
Are you sure it's leaking out the gauge? It should work fine even with a broken gauge.

New gauge? The back of the gauge is sensitive, maybe it was damaged or defective? :-/

Try to replace the guage, but you said it was leaking from the overflow?? ??? Im guessing you're talking about the burst disc...in which case you need to replace it...but that doesnt make sense cuz thered be a hell of a lot more air coming out...well just change the guage, and clean and re-teflon all fittings. Hope i helped
